We recently spoke with Véronique Detry, Manager Easy Acquiring Center team, who shares her experience and vision about working at Axepta BNP Paribas, her career path and the importance of her team to the company’s growth.

The path to Axepta BNP Paribas: growing in a scale-up environment

Véronique began her career in telesales and has since expanded her experience in various managerial roles. After 20 years, she decided to move to Axepta BNP Paribas, looking for a new challenge is a dynamic scale-up environment. At Axepta BNP Paribas, she found that opportunity: “The great thing about working at Axepta BNP Paribas is the freedom I had to start from 0, bring in new ideas and help think about how we continue to grow the company,” she says.  

Véronique’s role within Axepta BNP Paribas

Véronique’s role at Axepta BNP Paribas is multifaceted and challenging. She is responsible for attracting and coaching talents, improving customer retention and further developing her team. Her daily tasks include coaching her team members, analyzing performance and creating new projects to improve customer satisfaction and sales results.

“My goal is to achieve the company’s intended result. I work with nine people, each of whom is unique. The challenge is to keep them happy, boosted and evolving, while at the same time working together as a close-knit team to achieve that result,” Véronique explains.

She also works closely with other departments within Axepta BNP Paribas, such as marketing and sales enablement, to create synergies and further optimize processes.

Emphasis on team coaching and people management

Véronique places great emphasis on the well-being of her team. She believes that when employees feel good, grades go up. “It’s important to make sure people feel good about their work. They are present, but that is a sign of energy. When they are happy, results get better,” she says.

In her role as people manager, Véronique helps her team members not only get their grades up but also develop personally and professionally. She makes sure everyone feels heard and encourages open and honest communication. “At Axepta BNP Paribas, there is a culture of openness. Everyone helps each other, and ideas are valued regardless of your position,” said Veronique.

Véronique’s Telesales and Customer Retention team play a crucial role within Axepta BNP Paribas. Together, they are the first point of contact for customers, from the moment they come in until the terminal is delivered. They ensure that all administrative matters are in order and that the customer is well supported throughout the process.

“The teams make sure everything goes well from start to finish. They follow up with the customer and make sure the whole experience goes smoothly,” Véronique explains.

What Véronique appreciates most about her work at Axepta BNP Paribas are the people and the culture within the company. “The people are great. Everyone is open-minded and willing to work together toward one goal: the success of Axepta BNP Paribas and the client,” she says. “You can put your ideas on the table and they are listened to. No one feels higher than anyone else, we really work as a team.”
